Zyban is a non-nicotine, prescription strength medication that helps to reduce your urge to smoke, lessens the symptoms of withdrawl and can help make quitting bearable.

Take only as directed, usually twice a day for 7 to 12 weeks. Swallow Zyban whole. If you crush of chew the tablets, the activity of the medication will be destroyed and won't help with the withdrawl side effects. Do not take Zyban close to your bedtime as it can cause sleeplessness at first.

It is advised to continue smoking for the first week after starting Zyban, until it reaches higher levels in your blood. After the first week, smoking needs to stop.

If you miss a dose, take the medication as soon as possible unless it is within 8 hours of the next dose. If it is close to the nest dose, skip the missed dose and resume to the regular schedule.
