Tamiflu is an antiviral prescription medication that is FDA-approved for fighting the flu when you first start feeling influenza symptoms.

Tamiflu™ is used to treat symptoms caused by the flu virus, influenza. It helps make the symptoms of a stuffy nose, cough, sore throat, fever/chills, aches, tiredness etc, less severe and tends to shorten the recovery time by 1-2 days.

This medication is also used to prevent the flu if you have been exposed to someone who already has the flu.

Take only as directed. Start taking Tamiflu as soon as you notice symptoms of the flu. If Tamiflu upsets your stomach, it may be taken with food. Tamiflu needs to be stored at room temperature, below 77 degrees F (25 degrees C). Do not miss any doses. If you do miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is within 2 hours of the next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your regular dose schedule.
