Propecia is approved for the treatment of men who have male pattern baldness on the top of the head and mid-scalp region. Propecia is designed regrow hair on both the top of the head and the mid scalp area on men, restoring their confidence and helping maintain the appearance they want.
Propecia works by blocking the formation of DHT and in this way appears to interrupt a key factor in the development of inherited male pattern hair loss in men.
Take only as directed. This medication may be taken once daily on an empty stomach. It needs to be stored at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture, in a tightly-closed container. If you miss a dose of propecia and you remember the same day, take it as soon as possible. If you do not remember until the next day, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing routine. Never take 2 doses at once.
CAUTION: Pregnant women and women who may become pregnant should never handle crushed or broken tablets.
