Cialis is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. The active ingredient in Cialis, tadalafil, belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors.
Following sexual stimulation, Cialis works by relaxing the blood vessels in your penis, which restores the normal flow of blood and allows an erection to occur. The result is improved erectile function.
Cialis can be taken with or without food. Take only as directed, no more than once every 24 hours. For most men Cialis will begin to work within 30 minutes and can last up to 36 hours, which is longer than most other erectile dysfunction medication.
